Breadth = 15 cm

Perimeter = 102 cm

GIVEN:

  • Area of rectangle = 540 cm ²
  • Length of the rectangle = 36 cm

TO FIND:

  • What is the Breadth and Perimeter of the rectangle = ?

SOLUTION:

Let the Breadth of the rectangle be 'B' cm

We know that, the formula for finding the Area of rectangle is :-

Area of rectangle = L\timesB

According to question:-

\implies 36 \times B = 540

\implies B = 540/36

\implies B = 15 cm

❛ Hence, the breadth of the rectangle is 15 cm ❜

Now, we have to find the Perimeter of the rectangle

We know that the formula for finding the perimeter of rectangle is:-

2(Length + Breadth)

\implies Perimeter = 2(36 + 15) cm

\implies Perimeter = 2 \times 51cm

\implies Perimeter = 102 cm

❛ Hence, the Perimeter of the rectangle is 102 cm ❜
