the area of a rectangle is equal to that of a triangle having the base 30m and height 14m. if the length of the rectangle is 28m,find the perimeter of the rectangle

Area(rectangle)=Area(triangle). -(1)

Base=30 m

Height=14 m

Area (triangle) =1/2 base* height

=1/2*30*14

=210 sq metres

Area(rectangle)= 210 sq. metres. (From 1)

Length=28 m

Area(rectangle)= l*b

210= 28*b

b=210/28

b=7.5 m

Perimeter=2(l+b)

=2(28+7.5)

=2*35.5

=71 m
