The area of a rectangle is found by multiplying its length and width together. Calculate the area, in square feet, of the room you measured in the previous section. Explain or show your reasoning.
(Tip: you choose the length and width of the rectangle)

Starfox5454: ok
Starfox5454: so
Starfox5454: the length was 12
Starfox5454: and the width is 9
Starfox5454: then i added the length with the otherside
Starfox5454: Length: 12 (or if you add both sides it is 14)
Width: 9 (or if you add the other side it is 18)
Once i found the length and width (14 and 18), I multiplied the width and length together, (14x18) and I got 252 square feet.
sirfria: it should be 24 I guess instead of 14
sirfria: But why to add the other sides if we just multiply the given dimensions we get the area and then we convert it into feet ^2
Starfox5454: We have to keep the other sides, because if not it would only be half the answer lol
sirfria: -_-
