Then side of square = 32/4

=8 cm

Then area of square =8x8

=64 cm ²

The ratio of the area of a rectangle to that of a square is 3:2

then area of rectangle = 3/2 ×64=96 cm ²

Let the length of rectangle angle is 3x, and breadth is 2x

Then area of rectangle =3x×2x=96

⇒6x²=96⇒x² =16⇒x=4 cm

Then length of rectangle =3×4=12 and breadth =2×4=8 cm

Then perimeter of rectangle =2(12+8)=40

Then difference between the perimeter of the square and the rectangle =40−32=8 cm
