The area of a rectangle of breadth 3 cm, is equal to the area of a square
of side 9 cm. Then perimeter of the rectangle is

Side of square = 9 cm

Area of square = side ²

= 9²

= 81 cm²

Area of square = Area of rectangle

Area of rectangle = 81 cm²

Breadth of rectangle = 3cm

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

81 = 3 × b

b = 81/3

b = 27

Therefore , breadth = 27 cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2×(l+b)

= 2×(27+3)

= 2×30

= 60 cm
