The area of a rectangle reduces by 160m sq, if its length is increased by 5m and breadth is reduced by 4m. However, if lengh is decreased by 10m and breadth is increased by 2m, then its area is decreased by 100m sq. Find the dimensions of the rectangle

Let length, breadth and area be l, b and a respectively.
We have 3 equations
l*b=a
(l+5)(b-4)=a-160
(l-10)(b+2)=a-100
On solving, we get,

lb-4l+5b-20=a-160
a-4l+5b-20=a-160
Therefore 5b-4l=-140

lb-10b+2l-20=a-100
a+2l-10b=a-80
2l-10b=-80

Therefore, we get, l=60, b=20, and a = 1200.
