Given,

Base = 16mm

Perimeter = 50 mm

Let ,Length be x

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l+b)

2(l+b) = 50 mm

Putting value of b as 16 and l as x

2(x + 16) = 50 \\ 2x + 32 = 50 \\ 2x = 18 \\  x = 9

Therefore Length is 9 mm

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

Area

 = {(9 \times16) } {mm}^{2}   = 144 {mm}^{2}
