we know that 1 hectare = 10000m²
therefore 0.5 (1/2) hectare = 10000/2
= 5000m²
given, one side of the rectangular field is 12.5m
area of the rectangular field = 5000m²
therefore l × b = 5000m²
==> l × 12.5 = 5000m²
==> l = 5000/12.5
==> l = 400
VERIFICATION :-
area of the rectangular field = l × b
= 400 × 12.5
= 5000m²
hence verified
thus the Length of the rectangular field is 400m.
