The area of a rectangular field is 0.5 square metre. If one side is 12.5 cm find the other sides in metres.

\bf\bigstar{Answer}

Given :

Area of a rectangular field = 0.5 m ²

One of it's side = 12.5 cm

To find :

It's other side = ?!

Solution :

It is already given that area of the rectangular field,

is 0.5 m ².

It's one side = 12.5 m

We know that,

Area of a rectangle = length x breadth

ie,

0.5 m ² = 12. 5 x breadth

For finding this first we must covert

both of this into same unit.

Then,

0.5 m ² = 1/2 m ²

1 metre = 100 cm.

Then 1/2 m² = 50  cm ²

According to the given condition,

⇒ 50 cm ² = 12.5 cm x breadth

⇒ 50/12.5 cm² = breadth

⇒ 4 cm.

Therefore,

The breadth of the rectangle = 4 cm.
