Required Answer :

  • The breadth of the rectangular field = 3/4 m

Given :

• Area of rectangular field = 1 17/64 = 81/64 m

• Length of the field = 1 11/16 = 27/16 m

To find :

• Breadth of the rectangular field = ?

Solution :

Let,

  • The breadth of the rectangular field be x metre

Using formula,

  • Area of rectangle = l × b

where,

  • l denotes the length
  • b denotes the breadth

Substituting the given values :-

→ 81/64 = 27/16 × x

→ Transposing 27/16 to the left hand side, on transpoing the denominator will become numerator and the numerator will become denominator.

→ 81/64 × 16/27 = x

→ 81/4 × 1/27 = x

→ 3/4 = x

Therefore, the breadth of the rectanglular field = x = 3/4 m
