The area of a rectangular Field is786 mx^{2} and its length is 32m .Find:
(i)the breadth of the field
(ii)the cost of fencing it at ₹20 per metre

(1) The breadth of the field :

As we know that,

  • Area of rectangle = l x b

where l is 32m , Area of rectangle is 786m² and breadth is ?

⟿ Area of rectangle = l × b

⟿ 786m² = 32 × b

⟿ b = 786/32

⟿ b = 24m

breadth is 24m .

Now perimeter of the field:

  • perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

where length is 32m , breadth is 24m

⟿ 2 (length + breadth)

⟿ 2(32 + 24)m²

⟿ 2(56) m²

⟿ 112m²

perimeter of field is 112m² .

(2) The cost of fencing at 20 per meter :

⟿ 20 × 112

⟿ 2240

cost of fencing is 2240
