Answer:

Let the length and breadth of rectangular field be l and b respectively

∴2(l+b)=140m⇒l+b=70⇒l=70−b⟶(1)

Area = l×b m2

New length =(l+2)m, New breadth =(b−3)m

New area =(l+2)(b−3)=lb+2b−3l−6

⇒lb+66=lb+2b−3l−6⇒2b−3l=72

⇒2b−3(70−b)=72⇒2b−210+3b=72⇒5b=282

⇒b=56.40m, then l=70−b=70−56.40=13.60m

Hence length and breadth are 13.60m and 56.40m respectively.

The rectangle length is 895 cm and area is 6.7125 sq m

convert the length of rectangle cm to m

length =895÷100 =8.95 m

Breadth of a rectangle= area÷length

= 6.7125m÷8.95m

breadth = 0.75 m

perimeter of a rectangle =2(length +breadth)

=2 (8.95m +0.75 m)

=2(. 9.2m)

=2 ×9.2

= 19.4 m

The perimeter of a rectangle is 19.4m
