Given:

  • Area of rectangular garden = 60m²
  • Length of rectangular garden = 10m

To find:

  • Breadth of rectangular garden?

Solution:

  • Let's consider ABCD as a rectangle.

Where,

  • Area = 60m²
  • Length = 10m
  • Perpendicular = Breadth

• Let Breadth of rectangle be b m.

⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀

« Now, by Area formula.

→ (Area) = (l) × (b)

→ 60 = 10 × b

→ 60 = 10b

→ 10b = 60

→ b = 60/10

→ b = 6

∴ Hence, Breadth of the garden is 6m.

Area formulas:

  • Square = (side)

  • Rectangle = Length × Breadth

  • Triangle = 1/2 × Breadth × Height

  • Scalene ∆ = √s(s - a)(s – b)(s – c)

  • Rhombus = 1/2 × d_1 × d_2

  • Rhombus = 1/2p √4a² - p²

  • Parallelogram = Breadth × Height

  • Trapezium = 1/2 × (a + b) × Height

  • Equilateral Triangle = √3/4 (side)²
