the area of a rectangular lawn is the same as the area of an 18m long square.if the length of the rectangular lawn is 27 m find its perimeter.

area of square = side^2

here, area of square = 18^2

area of square = 324m^2

it is given that the area of square is equal to the area of rectangle 

324 = area of rectangle 

324 = length * breadth 

324 = 27 * breadth 

324/27 = breadth 

12=breadth 

then the perimeter of rectangle  = 2(length + breadth)

perimeter of rectangle = 2(12+27)

perimeter of rectangle = 2*39

perimeter of rectangle = 78m
