No it will not be the same dimension because Area is measured in Meter square but length or breadth is measured in meter

AShrimate: welcome
vinja: Area is length×breadth , if length and breadth both are in metre then area will have unit of metre^2 if length and breadth are in cm then area will have unit of cm^2 . Unit of are will depend on unit of length and breadth. Always take same unit for length and breadth i.e keep length and breadth in same unit.

Let length and breadth in metres be x & y respectively.
Given xy = 1200....(1)
Acc. to question
(y+1)(x-2) = 1200...(2)

by (1) x = 1200/y use this in (2) and solve quadratic equation to get value of y and then x.

Hope it will help.

pradeep26091975: Thnx for the answer
vinja: It was pleasure to help.
