Step-by-step explanation:

are of the room= p m²

let length be x m.

then breadth =p/xm.

(x+2)(p/x+2)=p+40

p+2x+2p/x+4=p+40

2(x+p/x+2)=40

perimeter of the room is 36 m.

lb=p and l+b=18.

if the area is given in numerical value,it would be easy to solve
