so,x*x-5=84
2x=84+5
x=89/2
x=44.5
x-5=44.5-5.0
x-5=39.5

peri. of rec.=2*(l+b)
so,2×(44.5+39.5)
2×84
=168

therefore the perimetre is 168m.
