Length is (4x + 5)

Given:

The area of a rectangle is given by 8x²-2x-15.

And Length is larger than bredth.

Solution:

As 8x²-2x-15 is qudratic equation so it can be split into two parts

⇒ 8x²-2x-15                8 × 15 = 120

                                                  120 = 12 × 10

⇒ 8x²-12x + 10x -15  

⇒ 4x( 2x - 3) + 5 ( 2x - 3)

⇒ (4x + 5) ( 2x - 3)

as we know that for any value of x , (4x + 5) will be larger than ( 2x - 3)

Hence, the length is  (4x + 5)
