The area of a rhombus is 119 cm² and its perimeter is 56 cm. Find its altitude ​

Answer:

each side of the rhombus = 56/4 = 14 cm

let it's altitude be x

by the problem

(x × 14) ÷ 2 = 119÷2 { area of a triangle }

x × 14 = 119

x = 119÷14

x = 17/2 = 8.5 cm

hence altitude measures 8.5 CM
