Answer:

area of rhombus=1/2 *product of diagonals

240=1/2*16*y

240=8*y

240/8=y

y=30

therefore length of other diagonal= 30cm

Given :

  • The area of a rhombus is 240cm² and one of the diagonal is 16 cm .

To find :

  • The other diagonal .

Solution :

\sf Area  \: of  \: Rhoumbus =  \frac{1}{2} d {}^{1}  \times d {}^{2}

Where d¹ and d² are diaganals

∴ \sf \:  \frac{1}{2}  \times d {}^{1}  \times d {}^{2}  = 240  \\  \sf \: d {}^{1}  \times 30 = 240 \times 2 \\  \sf \: d {}^{1}  =  \frac{240 \times 2}{30}
