Perimeter of rhombus = Perimeter of square.


Hence,
Perimeter of rhombus = 24 cm

As you know all sides of rhombus measures same.

4 X Side = Perimeter of rhombus
4 X Side = 24
Side = 24/4
Side = 6 cm

Hence, it's one side = 6 cm


Let 6 be base.

Now we can find the altitude of rhombus.

b x h = Area of rhombus
6 X h = 42
h = 42/6
h = 7 CM

Hence, it's altitude = 7 CM
