Given:

  • Area of rhombus = 60 cm²
  • One of the diagonals of the rhombus = 8 cm

To find:

  • The other diagonal.

Solution:

We know that,

\boxed {\sf {\pink {Area\ of\ rhombus = \dfrac {1}{2} \times d_{1} \times d_{2}}}}

Where,

\sf d_{1} = 1st diagonal

\sf d_{2} = 2nd diagonal

Now, substitute the values in the formula,

\sf {60 = \dfrac {1}{2} \times 8 \times d_{2}}

\sf {60 = 4d_{2}}

\sf {\dfrac {60}{4} = d_{2}}

\boxed {\bf {\red {15cm = d_{2}}}}

Other diagonal:

Other diagonal of the rhombus is 15 cm.
