Hi,
The area of rhombus=1 diagonal×2 diagonal
72=9×X
X=8cm
2 diagonal is 8cm

pavana2: because when you use the second diagonal as 8 in the formula you won't get the area that was given in the question

the area of rhombus =72cm
72= 1/2×d1× d2
72=4.5× d2
72/4.5 =d2
16=d2
