In the question Given

The area of Rhombus72 square units. and the perimeter of rhombus equal 32 cm

Therefore,

Side of rhombus= perimeter by 4
= 8cm

Now, area of rhombus = Base × Height( altitude)

⇒ 72 = 8 × h
h = 9cm

⇒ Height ( altitude) = 9 cm

given :-

  • area of the rhombus = 72cm

  • perimeter of the rhombus = 32cm

here we have to find the altitude of the rhombus:-

  • formula for area of a rhombus = side × attitude

=> side × altitude = 72cm² …(1)

side of the rhombus is not given here.

but we can easily find the side of the rhombus using it's perimeter.

we know that all sides of a rhombus is equal.

so we can write,

=> 4 × side = 32cm

=> side = 32/4

=> side = 8cm …(2)

the side of the rhombus is 8cm.

substitute (2) in (1)

=> 8 × altitude = 72cm²

=> altitude = 72/8

=> altitude = 9cm

hence the altitude of the rhombus is 9cm.
