Given that, Area of rhombus = 84 m2 Perimeter = 40 m We know that, Perimeter of rhombus = 4 × side ∴ Side of rhombus = Perimeter / 4 = 40/4 = 10 So, Side of rhombus = 10 m Since rhombus is a parallelogram, therefore Area of parallelogram = base × altitude 84 = 10 × altitude Altitude = 84/10 = 8.4 So, Altitude of rhombus = 8.4 mRead more on Sarthaks.com - https://www.sarthaks.com/674679/the-area-of-a-rhombus-is-84-m-2-if-its-perimeter-is-40-m-then-find-its-altitude

Question:

The area of a rhombus is 84 m² and its perimeter is 40 m find its altitude.

Given:

  • Area of rhombus = 84 m²

  • perimeter = 40m

Solution:

To find sides of rhombus:

Let side of rhombus = x

We know:

  • Perimeter of rhombus = 4 × side

  • 84 = 4 × x

  • x = 84/4

  • x = 21 m

.°. side of rhombus= 21 m

Now we know:-

  • Area of rhombus = Base × Height

So what's the relation between side and base?

yep here we will take side as base

Thus formula to find height of rhombus:-

  • Height = Area / Base

  • Height = 84/21

  • Height = (21 × 2 × 2)/21

  • Height = 2 × 2

  • Height = 4 m

.°. Height of rhombus = 4m

know more:

Formulas for Area:

  • Area of Rectangle = Length×Breadth

  • Area of a Square = side²

  • Area of a triangle = (Base×Height)/2

  • Area of Circle = πr²

  • Area of rhombus =( Digonal₁ ×Digonal₂ ) ×(1/2)

  • Area of parallelogram = Base× Height
