Lets make it easy.

Basic thing we need is area of triangle formula i.e 1/2*(base)*(height).

Here is a rough diagram, take a look

Now we can see there are 4 triangles of similar area.

Area of one triangle = 1/2 *(4)*(5) = 10 cm sq.

Total area of rhombus = 4* area of one triangle

= 4*10 = 40 cm sq.
