Hello mate,

here's your answer:

Let a be the altitude and b be the base.

According to the question,

a=b+7

Area of a right triangle=1/2xbase x altitude

here,165=1/2xbx(b+7)

165=1/2b^2+7/2b

multiplying with 2,

b^2+7b=330

b^2+7b-330=0

by splitting middle term,

b^2+22b-15b-330=0

b(b+22)-15(b+22)=0

(b-15)(b+22)=0

b=15 or -22

length can't be negative. so,

b=15 cm and

a=b+7

=15+7

=22 cm

Therefore base=15cm, altitude=22cm

hope it helps

brainliest pls
