The area of a right angled triangle having base 24 m and hypotenuse 25 m, is _______.

EXPLANATION.

Area of right angled triangle.

Base = 24 m.

Hypotenuse = 25 m.

As  we know that,

Formula of :

Pythagoras theorem.

⇒ H² = P² + B².

Hypotenuse > Perpendicular > Base.

Using this formula in the equation, we get.

⇒ (25)² = p² + (24)².

⇒ 625 = p² + 576.

⇒ 625 - 576 = p².

⇒ p² = 49.

⇒ p = √49.

⇒ p = 7 m.

As we know that,

Area of right angle triangle = 1/2 x base x height.

Area of right angle triangle = 1/2 x 24 x 7.

Area of right angle triangle = 12 x 7 = 84 m².

Option [A] is correct answer.
