The area of a right triangle is 84cm sq.if one of its legs is 24 cm long, find the length of the other 2 sides of the triangle.

Answer:

let A=24cms. the other two sides of triangle are 25,7

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the triangle=AB/2

so.. 84=24B/2

By solving this we get B=7

Now plot a right angled traingle with three sides as AB, BC, CA

take AB=24, BC=7

We have to find out AC, so that we can find the other one i.e., C

By pythagoras theorem,

AC^2=AB^2+BC^2

Substitute the values of AB and BC in above equation, we get

AC=25.. which is nothing but the value of C

So A=24 B=7 C=25

We can cross check by substituting the values of A and B in area of right angled traingle formula, which is given above
