Given: a ring having outer radius R and inner radius r is

To find : area of the ring

Solution:

Area of a circle = π ( radius)²

area of  ring  =  Total area - inner area

 Total area = πR²

Inner Area = πr²

area of  ring  =  πR² -  πr²

=  π(R² -   r²)

area of  ring  =  π(R² -   r²)
