area of the outer circle = π×17^2
= 289π =907.9 cm^2
so, area of smaller circle= (907.9-528)cm^2
=379.46 cm^2
(a) radius of smaller circle= √(379.46/π)
= √120.78 = 10.99 cm
(b) width of the ring = (17-10.99) cm =6.01 cm
