The area of a ring whose radii are 56cm and 42cm is in sq.cm​

Answer:

πR² means the area of whole ring(imagine the ring as a circle on paper without inner radius)

πr² means the area of the hollow part ( take only the area of inner Circle)

we have to find the area of the solid part (the actual solid part of ring ) so subtract it .

Area of the circle with outer radius of ring

= πR²

= 22/7 × 56²

= 9856 cm²

Area of the circle with inner radius of ring

= πr²

= 22/7 × 42²

= 5544 cm²

Area of the ring :-

Area (outer radius) - Area (inner radius)

= 9856 - 5544

= 4312 sq.cm

Hence, area of a ring is 4312 sq.cm.
