Answer:-

  • 1.6 metres is the required answer.

Solution:-

It is given that,

  • Area of sheet ,A = 1.2m²
  • Breadth of sheet ,b = 75cm

We have to calculate the length of the top of table .

Let the length of the top of table be L m

Now, firstly we change the breadth into m

  • b = 75/100 = 0.75m

As we know that area of sheet is calculated by the product of length and breadth.

  • Area of Sheet = length × breadth

Substitute the value we get

→ 1.2 = L × 0.75

→ L × 0.75 = 1.2

→ L = 1.2/0.75

→ L = 1.6m

  • Hence, the length of the sheet is 1.6 metre .

Given :-

The area of a sheet that completely covers the top of a table of breadth 75cm is 1.2m per square

To Find :-

Length of top

Solution :-

We know that

1 m = 100 cm

1.2 m = 100 + 20 = 120 cm

Now

Area = Length × Breadth

120 = L × 75

120/75 = L

1.6 = L

Hence

Length is 1.6 m or 160 cm
