The area of a square and a parallelogram is the same. if the side of the square is 40m and the base of the parallelogram is 50m. find the corresponding height of the parallelogram.

area of square = area of parallelogram,
side of the square = 40m
area of the square will be 40×40 = 1600
therefore the area of the parallelorgan will be 1600
area of parallelogram = base × height
base = 50m
1600 = 50 × height
height = 1600%50
therefore the height is 32
