area of square=area of rectangle

S=L×b

40×40=L×25

40×40/25=L

1600/25=L

64cm=L

Area of rectangle = L*b

64×25

= 1600cm²

perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+b)

2(64+25)

2×89

=178cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

  • Area of square and rectangle are same.
  • side of square is 40cm.
  • breadth of rectangle is 25cm.

Required :-

  • length of rectangle.
  • area of rectangle.
  • perimeter of rectangle.

Solution :-

area of square = area of rectangle

 {a}^{2}  = l \times b \\  \\  {40}^{2}  = l \times 25 \\  \\ 1600 = l \times 25 \\  \\ l = 64

Hence length of rectangle is 64cm.

area of rectangle =

l \times b \\  \\ 25 \times 64 \\  \\ 1600

Hence area of rectangle is 1600cm^2

perimeter of rectangle =

2(l + b) \\  \\ 2(64 + 25) \\  \\ 114

Hence perimeter of rectangle is 114

Answer :-

  • Length of rectangle is 64cm
  • Area of rectangle is 1600cm^2
  • Perimeter of rectangle is 114cm
