According to the question,

Area of square = Area of rectangle.

Given,

Side of square = 40cm

Breadth of rectangle = 25cm

Aim : To find the length of the rectangle

___________________________________________________

Side of square = 40cm

Area of square = side × side = (side)²

Area = 40 × 40 = (40)²

Area = 1600cm²

-----------------------------------------------------

Area of rectangle = 1600cm² (given that area of square is equal to the area of the rectangle)

Breadth = 25cm

Length = ?

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth.

Let the length be x

x × 25 = 1600

x =  \frac{1600}{25}

x = 64

Hence length = 64cm.

------------------------------------------------------

Length = 64cm

Breadth = 25cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length+breadth)

Perimeter = 2(64+25)

= 2(89)

Perimeter = 178cm.
