The area of a square and rectangular are equal. If the side of the
square is 40 cm and the breadth of the rectangle is 25 cm, find the
length of the rectangle. Also find the perimeter of the rectangle.​

= 40 x 40

Therefore area of rectangle = 1600sq.cm   (given)

breadth of rectangle = 25 cm

therefore, area of rectangle = L x B

1600 = L x 25

= 1600 / 25 = L

= 64 = L

Therefore length of rectangle = 64 cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( L + B)

= 2 (64 + 25)

= 2 x 89

= 178 cm
