the area of a square and rectangular field is the same,if the side of the square field is 40cm and the length of the rectangular field is 50cm, what is the perimeter of both the fields?​

Side of square field = 40 cm

Area of square field = side × side

= 40 cm × 40 cm

= 1600 cm²

Area of square field = Area of rectangular field (Given)

Area of rectangular field = 1600 cm²

Length of rectangular field = 50 cm

Breadth of rectangular field = Area ÷ Length

= 1600 ÷ 50 = 32 cm

Perimeter of square field = 4 × side

= 4 × 40 cm = 160 cm

Perimeter of rectangular field = 2×( l + b)

= 2×( 50 + 40) cm

= 2× 90 cm = 180 cm
