Given:

Area of square field = 0.5 hectare =5000 m2 (1hectare =10000 m)

To find : diagonal

Diagonal of a square = root 2 *side

Side=root 5000

Diagonal=root2 *root5000

               = root10000

               =100m

Therefore the length of the diagonal is 100m.

Answer:

100 m

Step-by-step explanation:

1 hectare = 10000 sq. m.

So, 0.5 hectare = 10000 *0.5 = 5000 sq.m.

Area of square = Side ^2

So, 5000=Side ^2

\sqrt{5000}=Side

70.7106781187=Side

Formula of diagonal = \sqrt{2} a

where a is the side

So, Length of diagonal =  \sqrt{2} \times 70.7106781187

                                      =  100

Hence the length of diagonal is 100 m
