Answer:

area=4608

Step-by-step explanation:

x+x+2x+2x=288

6x=288

x=48

area=x*2x

area= 48*2(48)

area=4608

Let's write what's given first,

  • Area of a square field = 5184 m²
  • In a rectangle, length is equal to twice the breadth.
  • Perimeter of rectangle is equal to perimeter of square field.

To find :-

  • Area of rectangular field.

Solution :-

Area of square = S²

we are given area of square = 5184

5184 = S²

S = √5184

S = 72

•°• side of the square is 72m.

____________________________

Perimeter of a square = 4 x S

Perimeter = 4 x 72

= 288m

In a rectangle,

let,

  • length = L
  • Breadth = B

So,

L = 2b ....... (given)

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(l + b)

Also,

perimter of rectangle = perimeter of square .... (given)

2( l + b ) = 288

2( 2b + b) = 288

2( 3b ) = 288

6b = 288

b = 288/6

b = 48

__________________________

breadth = 48m

length = 2b = 2(48) = 96m

__________________________

Now,

Area of rectangle = l x b

= 96 x 48

= 4608 m²
