It is given that the area of a square field is 5184 m^2 and from the properties of square we know that area of any square in equal to that square of its side( any side, since all sides are equal in square ) .

Thus,

= > Area of this square = 5184 m^2

= > ( side of this square )^2 = ( 5184 m^2 )

= > ( side of this square )^2 = ( 72 m )^2

Comparing both sides we get that the lengthy of each side of the square is 72 m.

From the properties of rectangle and square : -

  • Perimeter of square = 4 x side
  • Area of rectangle = length x breadth

According to the question : -

= > Length of rectangle = perimeter of square

= > length of rectangle = 4 x side

= > length of rectangle = 4 x 72 m

= > length of rectangle = 288 m

Thus,

= > Area of rectangle is 288 m x breadth

Let a constant algebraic term n m( m is the unit ), which is used to represent the breadth of the rectangle.

Hence the required area of the rectangle is 288n m^2, where n is a term representing breadth of the rectangle.
