Given :-

The area of a square field is 5625m² . A rectangular field whose length is twice its breadth an has its perimeter equal to the perimeter of the square field

To find :-

Dimensions of rectangle

Solution :-

Area of square = 5625 m²

→ side × side = 5625

→ a² = 5625

→ a = √5625

→ a = 75m

Perimeter of square

→ 4 × side

→ 4 × 75

→ 300m ---(i)

Now,

Let the breadth be x then length be 2x of rectangle

As per given condition

Perimeter of rectangle = Perimeter of square

→ 2(l + b) = 4 × side

→ 2(2x + x) = 300 (Using i)

→ 2 × 3x = 300

→ 6x = 300

→ x = 300/6

→ x = 50 m

Hence,

Breadth of rectangle = x = 50m

Length of rectangle = 2x = 100m
