The area of a square is 256 cm2. Find :
(1) the length of each side of the square. (ii) the perimeter of the square.​

side of square = s*s= √256=16 cm

perimeter =16+16+16+16=64 cm

Area of square = Side² = 256 cm².

SIDE = √Area

SIDE = √256

= \sqrt { 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2}

= 2×2×2×2

= 16 cm.

Perimeter of square= 4 × side

=4×16

= 64 cm
