The area of a square of side a  is  , and the perimeter is 4a.

Here,

Area = 256

⇒ a² = 256

⇒ a = √256

⇒ a = 16

∴ The length of each side = 16 cm

Perimeter = 4a = 4 × 16 = 64 cm

Thank you. Have a nice day. :-))
