So area of square is 36cm2.

The formula for area of square is a×a or a2.

Hence, to find the value of a (where a is the side of a square),

a=(36−−√)cm=6cm

Now, to find the perimeter, you add up the lengths of all sides. A square has four sides, hence, the formula is a+a+a+a or simply 4a.

4a=[6(4)]cm=24cm

Hence, the perimeter of the square is 24cm.
