Given the area of the square = 36m²
We know l² = area of square
m∴l² = 36m²
⇒l = √36m² = 6m
Therefore the side of the square = 6m
Given perimeter of square = perimeter of rectangle
⇒4l = 2(l+b)
⇒4(6) = 2(8 + b)     [ ∵ l =8m given]
⇒2(8+b) = 24
⇒8+b = 24/2
⇒8+b = 12
⇒b = 12-8
∴ breadth = 4m

yasummu: breadth = 4m
