The area of a square is equal to the area of a rectangle of I = 8 cm and b = 2 cm. What is the side of the square?

If l is length of rectangle and b is breadth then 
Area of rectangle = l×b
Now as in question l=8 and b=2
Area =8× 2
         =16
In question it is stated as area of square and rectangle is equa
If x is side of any square then its area is=x×x
Area =16
so,
x×x=16
x=4
So side of square is equal to 4cm
