Given :-

Side of square = 40 cm

Breath of rectangle = 25 cm

Solution :-

According to the question,

The Area of square is same as the Area of rectangle.

Area of Square = Side * Side

Area of Square = ( 40 )^2

Area of square = 1600 cm^2

Therefore,

Area of square = Area of rectangle

1600 cm^2 = 1600 cm^2

Now,

Let the length of rectangle be x

Breath = 25 cm

Area of rectangle = Length * Breath

1600 = x * 25

1600 = 25x

x = 1600 / 25

x = 64cm

Length of rectangle = 64cm

Now,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( Length + Breath)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( 64 + 25 )

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 * 89

Perimeter of rectangle = 178 cm

Given :

  • area of square =area of rectangle
  • side of square = 40 cm
  • breadth of rectangle =25 cm

To find :

  • length and perimeter of rectangle

Solution:

→Area of square=(side)²

→area of square = (40)²

Area of square = 1600 cm²

→area of rectangle=area of square. ...(given)

→area of rectangle = length×breadth

→1600=length×25

length of rectangle=64 cm

→Perimeter of rectangle=2(length+breadth)

→perimeter of rectangle=2(64+25)

→perimeter of rectangle=2×89

→perimeter of rectangle=178cm

Answer :

length of rectangle=64cm

perimeter of rectangle=178cm
