The area of a square of each side 16 cm is the same as that of a rectangle of length 32cm.find the breadth of the rectangle.

area of square = area of rectangle , given

Thus area of rectangle = 16 * 16

length * breadth = 16 *16

32* breadth = 16*16

breadth = 16*16/32

breadth = 8 CM

Area of square = area of rectangle
256 = L x B
