area of square = area of rectangle
a² = 2(l+b)
16×16 = 2(32+b)
8×16 = 32+b
b = 128-32 = 96cm

Answer:8cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of side of the square(a)=16cm

Area of the square=a^2 sq.units

=16×16

=256cm^2

Given that

Area of the square =area of the rectangle

Now, length of the rectangle(l)=32cm

Breadth of the rectangle(b)=?

Area of the rectangle=l×b sq.units

256=32×b

256/32=b

b=8cm

Hence breadth of the rectangle= 8cm
